Beginner Knitting
AGES: Instructor welcomes all ages. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult and able to participate for the entire day.

ART SHOW & PROGRAM: Sun, Feb. 9, 6pm (Snow Date: Feb 16). Everyone Welcome.
DESCRIPTION: Learn beginning knitting techniques starting with one square! A square can be made into a stuffed bunny. Two squares can be made into mitts for your hands. Half a square can be made into a mug warmer or two half squares could be boot toppers. This workshop will teach you the basics of casting on, the knit stitch, and binding off. (We’ll throw in the purl stitch if there’s time!) Finishing techniques (sewing a seam, sewing on a button, sewing eyes and nose) for the item you want to make your square into will also be taught. Yarn, needles, and notions will be provided (if you want to bring your own, bring worsted weight yarn and size 8-10 needles). Plan to leave your projects at the church for our Art Show on Sunday, Feb. 9, 6:00pm

BAGGED LUNCH INCLUDED: Ham & cheese sandwich, chips, fruit, cookie, and water. Please let us know if you will be bringing your own lunch.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1st. If you do not show up, please consider your registration fee a donation toward the food and supplies that were ready for you.
